CMS's office is in Statesboro, GA at Trinity Presbyterian Church. The
Rev. Roland Barnes is our Executive Director and Mrs.
Teena Gilbreth is our secretary. We have registered with the
State of Georgia and are in the process of receiving tax-exempt status.
CMS has a provisional Board of Directors from among the officers at Trinity
PCA who will serve until February 2004 when we expect to have completed
the transition. We then expect to introduce our regular board for 2004-2005.

About Roland Barnes
Christian Missionary Society is delighted to welcome the Reverend Roland
Barnes as its new Executive Director. Mr. Barnes is Senior Minister at
Trinity Presbyterian Church, Statesboro, Georgia. For over two decades of ministry in Statesboro, Mr. Barnes has been an articulate voice insisting on the
strategic importance of ministry to Hispanics in general and Latin America
in particular. He has shown his commitment in this area by teaching himself
Spanish and by actively engaging in Hispanic ministry in the Statesboro
area. In addition, he has led numerous short-term mission trips to Latin
America. A key adviser for Peru Mission since 2000, Mr. Barnes visits
Cajamarca and Trujillo twice each year. He and his wife, Peaches, have
four adult children.
As Executive Director, Mr. Barnes will lead CMS through its initial stages
of development, serving as chairman for the Board of Directors and the
Administrative Committee, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of
our office in Statesboro.
